5th Lenten Friday — The Stations of the Cross

THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS

by St. Alphonsus Liguori

Jesus fell three times carrying His cross — and three times He got up. This Lent, when we fall, let us follow the example of Jesus by getting back up and continuing to bear our cross. Pray the Stations of the Cross this Friday. 🙏

The Stations of the Cross by St. Alphonsus Liguori takes you on a spiritual journey through Christ’s Passion, from his condemnation to his burial. At each of the fourteen stations, you will find a meditation on that moment, prayers, and verses from the ancient “Stabat Mater” hymn.

This version remains one of the most widely used formats, particularly during Lent and especially on Good Friday. St. Alphonsus wrote it in 1761, focusing on making the meditation accessible while maintaining theological depth.
