Precious Blood of Jesus — Prayers & Devotions for July 2026

THE MONTH OF JULY

The Church dedicates the month of July to the Precious Blood of Jesus. In honor of this sacred month, we have gathered this playlist of prayers, chaplets, and devotions to help us reflect on Christ’s life-giving sacrifice and the boundless mercy it won for us.

The Precious Blood of Jesus is not a distant theological truth — it is a living reality, poured out on the Cross and offered still in every Mass. May these devotions draw you deeper into that mystery, bringing you comfort, strength, and a renewed sense of gratitude.

🙏 We invite you to pray with us this July, and any time of year.

Prayer of Abandonment

Most prayers ask God for something. This one gives Him something — everything.

The Prayer of Abandonment, composed by St. Charles de Foucauld — a French soldier who gave up everything to live as a hermit in the Algerian desert and was canonized by Pope Francis in 2022 — is one of the most beautiful acts of surrender in the Catholic tradition. In it, we place ourselves completely in God’s hands, letting go of our worries, our plans, and our need to control everything, and simply trusting Him the way a child trusts a loving father.

What makes it so powerful is how simple it is. There are no complicated requests, no lengthy petitions — just a quiet, wholehearted gift of self to the Father.

If you’re carrying something heavy right now, or you’ve been struggling to trust God with a situation that feels out of your hands, this prayer was made for that moment. Pray it slowly, and let every word sink in.

A Prayer for Vocations

Have you noticed that the vast majority of priests today are older, nearing retirement, and nuns are becoming a rare sighting?

The Church is facing a very real vocations crisis.

A Prayer for Vocations asks the Holy Spirit to illuminate the path of all those discerning a call to the priesthood, religious life, or a life of service to God — with Our Lady and St. Joseph interceding on their behalf.

Join us in praying that God will stir in the hearts of young people a deep and lasting desire to serve Him — for “the harvest is abundant but the laborers are few.” (Matthew 9:37)

Novena to the Precious Blood

Novena Dates: June 22-30, 2026

Devotion to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus honors the blood He shed for the redemption of the world, poured out in the Garden of Gethsemane, during the Scourging, the Crowning with Thorns, and finally upon the Cross at Calvary. Each drop stands as a witness to His boundless love and mercy, the price paid for the salvation of every soul.

The Church sets aside the month of July to deepen devotion to this saving Blood, recalling that through it we are cleansed of sin, redeemed, and drawn into closer communion with God. Throughout the centuries, the saints have treasured this devotion as a fountain of grace, a source of strength in trial, and a pledge of eternal life.

In preparation for this month of devotion, the Novena of the Most Precious Blood will begin on June 22.

Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help

NOVENA: June 18-26, 2026

Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help

Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary that honors her role as a tireless and ever-present intercessor for all who call upon her. Catholics turn to her in times of need, suffering, and desperation, trusting that as the Mother of Christ she holds a unique place of closeness to her Son and intercedes powerfully on behalf of her children. Her name speaks directly to her character — she does not help once or occasionally, but perpetually, without ceasing, for anyone who approaches her with a humble and trusting heart. She is seen as a refuge for the brokenhearted, a comfort for the anxious, and a powerful advocate for those who feel they have nowhere else to turn.

Novena to St. John the Baptist

NOVENA: JUNE 15-23, 2026

Novena to St. John the Baptist

The “Novena to St. John the Baptist” honors the greatest prophet born of woman, reflecting on his sanctity, innocence, and life of penance and austerity in the wilderness. The prayer seeks his intercession for the grace of detachment from earthly goods, the practice of Christian mortification, and the spirit of holy prayer — and implores his help in bringing souls to God, particularly those in darkness, error, ignorance, or led astray by vice — while asking for a brave and generous heart to overcome human respect and openly profess faith in Christ’s teachings.

St. John the Baptist’s feast day is celebrated annually in the Church on June 24th.

MEMORARE PRAYER (Remember O Most Gracious Virgin Mary)

Memorare to the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Memorare to the Blessed Virgin Mary (Remember O Most Gracious Virgin Mary) is a traditional Catholic prayer of confident petition, in which the faithful call upon Our Lady as a loving mother and powerful intercessor. Drawing on centuries of lived devotion, it begins with a bold act of trust — recalling that no one who has ever sought Mary’s protection, help, or intercession has been left without her aid. From that foundation of faith, the one praying approaches her humbly as a sinner in need, addressing her as Virgin of virgins and Mother of the Word Incarnate, and asking that she hear and answer their prayer with maternal mercy.
