Christmastide Prayer
Daily Prayer from Christmas until the Epiphany
The “Christmastide Prayer” is a beautiful traditional Catholic prayer celebrating the manifestation of Jesus Christ as Lord and Ruler. Prayed daily from December 25th through the Feast of the Epiphany, this ancient prayer proclaims “Behold, the Lord the Ruler is come” with a kingdom in His hand, power and dominion. Rooted in the prophecy of Malachi and the royal imagery of the Psalms, the prayer joyfully acknowledges Christ’s arrival in human flesh while asking God’s grace to be inwardly transformed by Him.
