Novena begins this Sunday, September 20, 2026
St. Michael the Archangel is the Church’s heavenly protector and the fearless leader of the heavenly host, defending the Church Militant against the snares of the devil. As believers, we look to him not only as a powerful intercessor in our daily spiritual battles against temptation, but also as our advocate at the hour of death, charged with escorting our souls safely into the presence of God.
The Novena to St. Michael the Archangel honors and implores the protection and intercession of heaven’s defender. In seeking his aid, we call upon the great archangel whose name means ‘Who is like God?’, the steadfast warrior who remained completely faithful during the rebellion of the fallen angels.
